The controversy over the dance on DJ during the procession on 6 June in Varara village under Bardah police station of Azamgarh district suddenly turned into violence. A mob of villagers not only damaged the police vehicle but also attacked the policemen who reached the spot.
Five policemen including Baradah police station in -charge have been injured in this incident. The police station in -charge has been referred to the Higher Center due to severe head injury and fracture in his hand. In the viral video, it can be clearly seen that the crowd of villagers is brutally attacking the police station in -charge.

SSP Azamgarh Hemraj Meena said that so far a case has been registered against 35 named accused in this case. The police have started questioning more than 50 people in custody.
The dispute erupted when the other party of the village attacked the wedding processions from Jaunpur district. As soon as the information was received, Dial 112 police reached the spot, but the angry mob also threw stones at the police.
