Lakhs of rupees were defrauded by pretended to be a policeman and promising to get a police job, accused pardeshi arrested, many more victims suspended
Kabirdham: The Kabirdham police has arrested a big forgery case by arresting a broker who cheated lakhs of rupees in the name of employing a job.
According to the information received, the accused Pardeshi Tekam, a resident of village Sheetalpani, was being given a policeman to recruit himself to the post of assistant constable and SI. The accused cheated three lakh three thousand six hundred rupees from Ram Baghel, a resident of village Ghothiya. Out of this, one lakh was given to the accused through a lodge at Signal Chowk in Kabirdham through accounts and the rest of the cash was given to the accused. Which has been confirmed by two witnesses.
When the victim demanded a refund or appointment, the accused continuously deferred. Eventually the case was reported in the police station Kotwali. On which the police station registered a crime and arrested the accused.
Initial inquiry has also received indications that a similar cheating may have been done by the accused from other people. Which is being investigated.
