A local train going from Karjat towards Mumbai created an uproar on Tuesday when a fight between two women traveling in the first class compartment started a quarrel over a minor matter and there was a scuffle between the two.
The incident took place between Vikhroli and Ghatkopar station. It was told that a debate started between the two women about the elbow. The train was more crowded, due to which the atmosphere was already tense. In a short time, the debate took a serious form and the two women felt their hands on each other.

Seeing the quarrel growing, some women standing nearby tried to intervene, but they too got entangled in the controversy. Some women were shocked and a woman angrily bitten another passenger’s hand. During this time, the passengers immediately informed the railway police. Although the passengers allege that the police reached the spot but did not take any concrete steps.

There was resentment among women passengers about this negligence. Many women traveling in the train said that the railways should make adequate security arrangements in women coaches so that such incidents do not happen in future. Railway officials have said that the incident is being investigated and action will be taken if needed.
