The historical health revolution is going to start in Punjab today. Here 65 lakh families of the state are going to get free health insurance gift of ₹ 10 lakh. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal will launch the country’s largest health insurance scheme on Tuesday.
With this, Punjab will become the first state in the country, which will provide a universal health cover of ₹ 10 lakh to all its 65 lakh families.

This scheme will be implemented in the entire state in the next three months. For this, the state government has already allocated an amount of ₹ 778 crore in the budget of 2025-26. The tender process will be started soon for the selection of insurance companies.
