A high -level meeting was held in Meerut, western Uttar Pradesh, for the Kanwar Yatra which started in the month of Sawan. Officials of Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan and UP including Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary Manoj Singh, DGP Rajiv Krishna attended this meeting. The main objective of the meeting was to make the journey safe, well -organized and to conform to the faith of the devotees.
Clear instructions were given in the meeting that no non -veg scheme will be applicable on the Kandar Marg and only FSSAI will have the right to check the purity of food. QR codes will be installed on all dhabas and camps, so that Kanwar passengers can see the information of owners and employees.
High -level meeting on Kavad Yatra
Instructions were given to provide separate camps and facilities for women kawandis. Also, there was talk of crowd control of railway stations, ban on climbing on the roof of the train and fixing the system of catering. The DGP said that the sound of DJ should not be more than 75 decibels and height should not be more than 10 feet.
Some strict action against those who break the rules
Strict action will be taken against those who break the rules. The deployment of police force on every kilometer and officers of all states have been linked to a WhatsApp group, so that immediate information can be exchanged.
