Kanwar yatra 2025: All government, non -government, higher educational institutions, technology institutes and Anganwadi centers of Haridwar will remain closed from 14 to 23 July due to excessive congestion in the Kavad fair and the closure of the route or divert. During this time, schools and colleges will keep online classes. This order has been issued by District Magistrate Mayur Dixit.
Please tell that the main road from Haridwar to Kavad goes towards Rishikesh. From here, all the Kanwadis move forward by visiting the Neelkanth Mahadev Temple and other Shiva temples. Apart from this, some kanwadis from here also leave for the entire Mahadev temple in Baghpat via Haridwar. Because of this, there is traffic on the roads. For the convenience of kanwadis and students, it has been decided to leave schools in Haridwar.
Let us know that tomorrow i.e. from July 11, Sawan is starting, with this, the Kandar Yatra will also start. This journey will continue till 23 July 2025. The Kavad Yatra ends on the day of Shivaratri. Kanwariya brings the holy water of the Ganges river in the Hindu pilgrimage places of Haridwar, Gaumukh and Gangotri in Uttarakhand and will offer on Shivlimag.
