Two Smugglers Arrested by Mumbai Police: The Anti Narcotics Cell (ANC) team of the Mumbai Police has arrested two vicious smugglers, from whose possession, drugs including heroin, charas and mefedron have been recovered and cash worth Rs 2.36 crore.
A Mumbai Police official told PTI that during patrolling in Lokhandwala Complex area of suburban Andheri on July 7, the Azad Maidan unit of the Anti Narcotics Cell (ANC) arrested a 46 -year -old man with 140 grams of mefedron and 703 grams of charas, priced at Rs 1.14 crore.
The police officer said that the Anti Narcotics Cell (ANC) team has also recovered Rs 18 lakh cash from that person.
Police said in another case, the Kandivali unit of ANC arrested a 31 -year -old smuggler in Versova area with 306 grams of heroin on July 8, priced at Rs 1.04 crore.
The police officer said that after this major recovery, both vicious smugglers have been arrested under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substance (NDPS) Act. Now both are being questioned.
