The Punjab Vigilance Bureau arrested the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) senior leader and former cabinet minister Bikram Majithia after a raid at Amritsar. Vigilance was part of the joint operation of Punjab Police and Vigilance under the war against war drug addiction (anti -intoxication campaign), raiding 25 locations across Punjab, of which 9 places of Amritsar associated with Majithia were involved.
