Assembly bypoll Result Live News: The results of the by -elections in five assembly seats in four states including Ludhian West in Punjab will be declared today. The counting of votes has started from eight in the morning. The Election Commission (ECI) has made strict security arrangements and has made extensive arrangements for the smooth counting process.
On Thursday, five assembly seats were held in Punjab’s Ludhiana West, Kaliganj in West Bengal, Vidasavar-Kadi in Gujarat and Nilambur in Kerala. Ludhiana West is very special for the ruling Aam Aadmi Party, as AAP has fielded its Rajya Sabha MP and industrialist Sanjeev Arora from this seat. While the Congress has fielded senior leaders Bharat Bhushan Ashu, BJP, Jeevan Gupta and Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) have fielded Singh Ghuman.
The need for these by-elections was due to the death of the current MLAs in Gujarat, West Bengal and Punjab, while the by-elections were held due to the resignation of MLAs on another seat in Kerala and Gujarat. The Election Commission monitored the entire process and now everyone’s eyes are on the results.
