Former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been sentenced to 6 months in jail in a case related to the court. This information has been revealed in the local media report. The Dhaka Tribune According to the report, this decision has been pronounced by a three-member bench of the International Crime Tribunal-1 headed by Justice Mohammad Ghulam Murtuja Mojumdar.
The report said that the tribunal has also sentenced Shakeel Akand Bulbul, a resident of Govindganj in Gabandha to two months in the same case. This is the first time that Sheikh Hasina, the leader of the Operated Awami League, has been sentenced in a case after leaving the country about a year ago.
Sheikh Hasina arrived in India in August 2024 after a nationwide protest in Bangladesh and the Awami League government. Since then she has been living in New Delhi.
