The Raigad Animal Seva Samiti in Nansia village of Raigad district of Chhattisgarh had a successful rescue of a 12 feet long dragon on 27 June. The team, who reached the information of the villagers, also found 21 eggs along with the dragon during the rescue, which was preserved in a safe place. Now the children of young dragon have come out of these eggs, due to which there is a lot of enthusiasm among wildlife lovers and local people.
Dharmendra Singh Rajput of Raigad Animal Seva Samiti said that the eggs of the dragon were looked after under special supervision and the children of healthy dragon came out of all the eggs on the previous day.
He described it as a beautiful example of the natural cycle, which very few people can see directly. Ajagar is a protected species and has an important contribution to the ecosystem.
The committee informed that these little pythons have been left in safe forests soon, so that they can develop in their natural environment.
The villagers have appreciated the readiness and working style of the Animal Seva Samiti. This rescue campaign is not only the story of saving a snake, but has also become a symbol of awareness about wildlife conservation.
