In Ludhiana, Punjab, a shocking incident of killing a live-in partner has come to light. The Punjab Police has arrested the accused from Gonda in local Uttar Pradesh with the help of officials. An official gave this information on Sunday. He said that Sunil Kumar was arrested from a village in Dhanepur police station area. The police is preparing to take him to Punjab on transit remand.
According to Inspector Aditya Sharma, who led the Punjab police team, Sunil is a resident of Khwajajot village in Dhanepur area. He met her 20-year-old live-in partner in Ludhiana. Sharma said, ‘Sunil came to Ludhiana for work, where she met Radhika. Both used to work in the same factory. The two were living together in a rented house in Fatehganj area of Ludhiana for the last six months, but recently Sunil came to know that Radhika is already married – she found it very bad.
The official said, ‘Sunil came to know Radhika’s past a few days before the incident, which led to a debate between the two. The controversy rose on the night of June 8 and Sunil allegedly tied Radhika’s hands and feet, strangled her and then ran away. Radhika’s brother Rahul contacted the police after his death and an FIR was lodged on his complaint.
