Monkey Shot dead with Air Gun, Anger Among Wildlife Lovers, Forest Department Team Engaged In Investigation, Search for the Killer Continues
Takhatpur: In Takhatpur district of Chhattisgarh, a case of shooting a monkey from an air gun has come to light. There is anger among wild lovers since the incident. A written complaint has been lodged at Takhatpur police station regarding the case.
The case was revealed when the post -mortem of the deceased monkey was done. The report said that the monkey died due to air gun bullet in the body. Two pellets of air gun have also been recovered from his body.
Wildlife lovers have lodged a written complaint at Takhatpur police station condemning this incident. Taking the matter seriously, the Ranger of Takhatpur Range inspected the spot and POR (Primary Crime Report) has been filed against unknown accused.
The Forest Department has started investigating the case. A list of air guns in Takhatpur area is being prepared. Forest officials have clarified that strict action will be taken against them under the Wildlife Protection Act if found guilty.
