Before the assembly elections to be held in Bihar, the Nitish government has made a big announcement. The state government has increased the social security pension scheme amount and has increased the monthly pension of the elderly and disabled and widowed women from Rs 400 to Rs 1100.
Posting on X, CM Nitish Kumar wrote, ‘I am happy to say that under the Social Security Pension Scheme, all the elderly, disabled people and widow women will now get a pension of Rs 1100 instead of Rs 400 every month. All the beneficiaries will get pension at an increased rate from the month of July. This amount will be ensured to send this amount to the account of all the beneficiaries on the 10th of the month. This will help a lot to 1 crore 9 lakh 69 thousand 255 beneficiaries.
Nitish Kumar wrote that “Old people are an invaluable part of the society. It is our highest priority to ensure his respectable and safe life. The state government is constantly trying in this direction and will continue to be further.”
