A heartbreaking incident has come to light from Bhilwara district amid the incessant rains in Rajasthan. A 60 -year -old elder died in an attempt to cross the Banas river near Chohli village.
The deceased has been identified as Shankar Lal, a resident of Khakuda village. The incident took place when Shankar was going from Lal Chohli towards Ramgarh and tried to cross the river culvert on foot.
It is being told that water was flowing about four feet on the bridge of Banas river. The people present there tried to stop Shankar Lal, but they ignored the warnings.
As soon as he climbed on the culvert, his balance was disturbed in the strong current and he was washed away in the water. It can be clearly seen in the video footage that he tries to catch a tree flowing, but in a few moments the sharp stream takes them away.
As soon as the information of the incident was received, the police and administration reached the spot and the body of the elderly was recovered with the help of NDRF. This accident is now becoming increasingly viral on social media.
The administration has appealed to the people to stay away from the water flowing areas during heavy rains and avoid any risky efforts. Especially do not try to cross the culvert or river until the situation is completely safe. Such accidents are continuously coming out in the entire state with increasing rains.
