A shocking case has come to light near the Ramgarh Vishdhari Sanctuary in Bundi district of Rajasthan, where a sick leopard was inhumanity in the name of rescue. In the video going viral, the leopard’s neck was put on a dog and rolled among the crowd. The case is from Rampuria village, where leopard appeared near Phoolsagar Lake on Monday.
Local people informed the forest department after seeing the leopard. The rescue team reached the spot on the instructions of Ranger Sumit Kanojia. The leopard was sitting under a tree and looked quite weak. There was no external injury on his body but the condition was very critical.

During the rescue, the forest guard Budharaj put a lease around the leopard’s neck and started walking from among the people. Meanwhile, many youths started pulling the leopard’s tail and taking selfies. All this happened openly and the video went viral on social media.
About two and a half year old female leopard was probably ill, but her dignity and security were not taken care of during the rescue. Such behavior towards wildlife is against rules.

When an attempt was made to talk to the ranger of Ramgarh Sanctuary, he did not even pick up the phone. Now questions are being raised on the role of the forest department on this entire matter.
