In Saharanpur district of Uttar Pradesh, a sensation spread after a 55 -year -old woman was found in a half -dead body near a sugarcane field. The police gave this information on Monday. Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural) Sagar Jain said that the body was found lying near the drain in the field of farmer Atul Tyagi in Dagheda village of Nagal police station area on Sunday night.
Jain told the agency, ‘A mango bag and a salwar were found near the woman’s body. As soon as the information was received, the forensic expert and the local police reached the spot. Police said that the deceased has been identified as a mentally ill woman, who had left the house for daily wages during the day, but did not return till night.
The woman’s son has filed a complaint against unknown people alleging murder. Police said that they are investigating the case from all possible angles, including the possibility of sexual harassment. The ASP said, “The body has been sent for post -mortem and only after getting the report, the exact cause of death will be known.” Forensic teams have collected important evidence from the spot and the police have started scrutinizing CCTV footage from the surrounding areas under investigation.
