On Tuesday, a big action started on the disputed ‘Gadhiya Mosque’ located in Chintamani Gadhiya village under Tamkuhiraj tehsil of Kushinagar district of Uttar Pradesh. This mosque was illegally built on the government land of the village for years, which had been going on for a long time.
Muslim parties broke themselves
Many times a complaint was made by the people of the village and other parties that the mosque and Idgah have been constructed by illegally occupying government land. After this, the administration started preparing for action. But even before reaching the administrative bulldozer, the Muslim parties themselves run a hammer on the mosque and started the process of demolishing the structure. With the help of laborers on the spot, the work of demolishing the mosque and Idgah is going on fast.
The villagers say that this land belongs to the village society and is recorded as public land in the government records. For years, there was a dispute over illegal construction, which is now being removed voluntarily by the Muslim community.
Administration is keeping an eye on
Monitoring is being done on the spot by the administration so that no stress or law and order problem arises. Officials have described it as an example of peace and cordial solution.
